Karate

Every Wednesday we head over to an elementary school in our old neighborhood so Georgia can take karate with her friend Julia. I love the class. The coach amazes me with how he is able to control 20 kids at once. He teaches them wonderful life lessons along with karate. I'm really hoping Georgia wants to stick with this. (She's over ballet.)
Unfortunately no photos are allowed during class. Her coach is serious!

Red, Yellow and Green

Each of the kiddos in Georgia's class have a photo on top of an envelope that holds a green card, yellow card and red card. The teacher uses the cards to describe their behavior. Here's GA's photo on her envelope:

Bragging

Personally, I think this is pretty good for a four year old!

Day 3

Georgia's teacher sends home a calendar each day. She uses green, yellow and red faces to describe the her behavior that day. We are doing great so far with two green smiley faces!

The kids went to the library for the first day today. This is the book that Georgia picked out! Not pleased that the grammar is incorrect in the title....

A little something for the fridge!

Day 2

This was her first full day of school. She was excited to bring her lunch to eat at school...a first for her. When I picked her up at 3:00 she was again so nonchalant. What was the first thing she said? Mommy, can we go to the zoo? The zoo?!?! I thought she would be exhausted after her first day. Silly me! Instead we went for frozen yogurt and had an impromptu play date at everett's house.

All in all, this transition has been quite seemless!
